The course is dedicated to the possibilities of using literature in language teaching in primary and secondary schools. Special attention is paid to Spanish written literature for children and teenagers, to simplified version of classical Spanish literature and to film adaptation of literary works. Students will work with literary texts and movies and they will create worksheets for use in Spanish lessons. The main aim of the course is to prepare and present a portfolio of literary materials.
The course is dedicated to basic literary works of Spanish American literature of different periods. One part of the course focuses on the literary, historical and philosophical context, the other part is dedicated to close reading of excerpts from the chosen texts.
