The aim of the course is to introduce students to a deeper knowledge and context of minority issues as analyzed in human geography and related disciplines. The lectures combine the explanatory part with practical examples and time for questions or discussion. In the seminars, students develop the ability to formulate stimulating questions, seek answers in quality professional sources and also critically evaluate the debate on the issue of minorities and borders in the large media. Both teachers will present the individual topics in a comparative perspective, because cultural specifics play a big role in the current transformation of the national, ethnic and religious map of Europe.
