Academic English is relatively more complex than spoken language. This course develops students' academic skills in writing, reading, listening and speaking in an academic manner. Students will be introduced to the development of academic vocabulary, improved listening skills in an academic setting, effective reading and writing of academic papers, development of effective note-taking skills, and improved academic discussion and presentation skills. The class will include formal presentations, discussions, and elementary research reports.
