Obecné cíle:
1. vylepšit znalosti studentů pokud jde o jazykové systémy angličtiny: gramatika, slovní zásoba, fonetické rysy a jazykový projev
2. vylepšit jazykové dovednosti studentů v angličtině, a to jak produktivní (mluvení a psaní), tak receptivní dovednosti (poslech a čtení)
Cíle kurzu:
1. na konci kurzu by studenti měli dosáhnout nižšího stupně úrovně B1 Společného evropského referenčního rámce pro jazyky
2. zlepšit produktivní dovednosti a konsolidovat receptivní dovednosti
Specifické dovednostní cíle: po zakončení kurzu by studenti měli:
1. umět napsat osobní dopis a poznámky, v nichž žádají o jednoduchou bezprostřední informaci nebo ji sdělí, přičemž objasní cíl, který považují za důležitý
2. umět komunikovat v jednoduchých a rutinních záležitostech, které vyžadují jednoduchou a přímou výměnu informací týkajících se známých témat a aktivit
3. rozumět hlavním bodům jasného standardního mluveného projevu týkajícího se známých témat, s nimiž se setkávají v práci, ve škole, ve volném čase, atp.
