General objectives: 1. to improve students knowledge of English language systems: grammar, vocabulary, phonology and discourse 2. to improve students English language skills: both productive ( speaking and writing) and receptive ( listening and reading.)
Course objectives: 1. at the end of the course students should be medium/high B1 level on the common European framework 2. consolidate production skills and improve receptive skills
Specific skills objectives: at the end of the course students should be able to
1. narrate a story or relate the plot of a book and film and describe emotions
2. keep going comprehensibly, even though pausing for grammatical and lexical planning and repair
3. understand most TV programmes concerning news and current affairs
4. read articles and reports concerned with contemporary problems
