Requirements for A1BH
Units 3,4 (The Business 2.0 Intermediate, Meehan, Watkins and P.Emmerson) will be covered during the semester.
Unit 3 – Products and Packaging
Unit 4 - Careers
Attendance in classes is obligatory, you can miss 2 classes. If you miss the class, you have to do your homework and be prepared for the next lesson. If you miss more than two lessons, it is the teacher´s right to decide what to do: you will have to pass the test at 70% or do other homework or even fail the course.
Written work will include writing your CV and possibly some other written tasks (during the semester)
Presentations are individual on the given topic (approx.15 minutes) and are compulsory. The topic will be a given by a teacher, they concern product and careers (advantages and disadvantages etc.). See the list below. The presentation must be interesting for other students, will have clear structure (HOOK, AGENDA, MAIN PART, CLOSING, SUMMARY, QUESTIONS) and mustn´t be read. Students can have some notes. The discussion that will follow must be supported by your 2-3 prepared questions. Your presentation should be supported by PPP. You will be evaluated by the teacher (minimum for passing is 60%). It will be included in the overall evaluation at the end of the semester (test+presentation+other activities+HW).
Test on Units 3 and 4 date is in WEEK 13. It will include grammar, vocabulary, writing, maybe listening.
The retakes will follow the minimum of three weeks after the first attempt. The minimum for passing is 60%. Each additional missed class (more than two) means 5% more to pass.
If you score lower than 40%, you will not be allowed to do a retake test
Credits will be given to students who actively participate in classes, do their homework, give their meaningful presentation in front of the class during the semester and pass the test min of 60% or more. Overall work within the semester and active participation in the class will be also taken into account.

Choose a presentation topic from the list that is interesting for you. Two students can choose the same presentation number but then obviously they will divide the topic into two parts. You will present it individually. The presentation should take about 15 mins including questions to the audience. Make your presentation interesting bringing new facts and info. Please, keep the time. Keep the presentation structure: hook, reason why I have chosen the topic, agenda, main part, summary, questions, opinion.
DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION: WEEK 2 (by 29 February)
